Connor Fields began his lacrosse career playing box lacrosse with the Fort Erie Hawks at the age of 5 years old. Geographical distance and travel times subsequently led Connor to switch from playing box lacrosse in Fort Erie to playing for the Tuscarora Thunder.
Connor started his high school career playing for Williamsville North High School. He then transferred to Bishop Timon- St. Jude High School for his sophomore to senior seasons. Connor played summer club lacrosse with Champion Lacrosse during his high school career. During his sophomore season, Connor verbally committed to play lacrosse for the University at Albany Great Danes. Connor was a dual sport athlete throughout high school playing both hockey and lacrosse. During his senior season, Connor was chosen as First Team All-State for hockey, and was awarded Buffalo News Prep Talk Player of the Year. His lacrosse accolades are listed below:

Connor Fields entered his freshman year at UAlbany ranked as the #15 freshman recruit by Inside Lacrosse. The knowledge and experience that he gained, as well as the friendships that he made at UAlbany are priceless. Prior to Connor's freshman and sophomore seasons, he played for the Rochester Jayhawks. Prior to Connor's junior season, he played for the Seneca Warchiefs, where he led all scorers in the Founders Cup Final. Prior to Connor's senior season, he played in the MSL for the Oakville Rock, where he had 16 goals and 37 assists. Unfortunately, halfway through Connor's senior season at UAlbany, he learned that he had ruptured his ACL and had a partial tear in his MCL. He continued to play and finished his season playing in the NCAA Final Four with his teammates. UAlbany made the NCAA tournament 2015-2018.
